Is it "EMacDesign" because you work on Macs? Actually, the name is derived from the company's former name, Eric MacDicken Graphic Design and Illustration, which was a wee bit long. However, Eric does swear by his Apple Macintosh. Does Eric create his drawings in the computer? Eric is a classically trained fine artist and prefers to draw with pen and ink on paper and illustration board. His illustrations are then scanned and digitized for reproduction in print and on the web. Why a Dragonfly for the company icon? Long before they were as popular an embellishment as they are today, Eric was drawn to the symbolism of dragonflies. When Eric founded the company, it was hard to find dragonfly items of any kind. Today, the dragonfly can be found in everything from jewelry stores to gardening centers. And in Eric's opinion, it couldn't have happened for a more beautiful bug! I like the art on the site and would like to see more! Thank you!
